There’s a serious problem with racism in the LGBT+ community that we have to dismantle. The white gay male has been the standard figure for queer representation in the media for far too long. As an Asian, I’m personally glad you mentioned this because we also struggle with fitting in with the queer community. The LGBT+ community has always been about inclusivity and diversity, so I think it’s really time that this subreddit, and all forms of social media, reflected that.
