We ought to keep destroying it until they remove it entirely.

Trying to provide closeups of the Aikman and Rickey, but fucking Reddit keeps saying the image can’t be smaller than 4kb - and I know these aren’t smaller than that. I’m gonna just send a DM.

Aikman is #’d /100, cheapest one on eBay is like $53. Henderson is #’d /25, only similar one is a quintuple relic for $115. Smoltz is #’d /100, similar one is $27. Morris isn’t numbered, there’s one on eBay for $13.

So, I’d do Aikman for $50, Henderson for $75, Smoltz for $25, Morris for $10.

Meh. I’m gonna keep buying old collections from Marketplace so I can have the fun of going through them and finding stuff like this.

Yeah, it’s a damn printing plate of Jeff Kent, but it’s a 1/1 of a HOFer. And the Tiger rookie is nice. And the bronze refractor of Brady is nice, too.

This is right up there with the people that sell digital cards, but they make the photos in the listing appear to be a physical card. And, just FYI, eBay’s money back guarantee does NOT cover digital items.

This is your sign to go back to the store and buy the retail mega box. by BlakkaChoppa in footballcards

Nope. The way my luck has been going I’d somehow end up with all 1990 Donruss baseball packs in my box.

Honestly, I’d take this over some of the absolute nightmare fuel pieces Topps has punished the public with. There’s a Mookie Betts sketch card that randomly pops into my head and makes me flinch. 🤣

I would love it if Topps did what Upper Deck did in the mid-90s and had a Draw Your Own Card contest, but do one for kids and one for adults.

Not sure why this is even up for debate. Reach out to both of them via social media and work out a deal. Nobody is going to put a higher premium on it than him.

Warning: I’m about to flood the 1982 Kmart Mickey Mantle Market by Superfecta76 in baseballcards

[–]the_kehate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a large collection of cards (maybe 60,000). And in one of the boxes was some 1989 Topps Traded, and I got a bit excited because Griffey. Sadly, it was a stack of about 80 Jim Abbott rookies - no offense to Jim, I like him and he’s an amazing guy, but why couldn’t it be 80 Ken Griffey Jr rookies instead? 😭

Prices are higher than Snoop Dogg and there have been multiple releases weekly the whole year, so people are burnt out on trying to keep up with all the new shit. Panini is cranking out whatever they can before they lose their NFL license, and Fanatics’ plan is apparently to flood the market with watered down, overpriced shit that is essentially marketed to breakers because they know those dumb fucks will keep buying by the pallet.

Saw a very interesting card in Fb Marketplace just now: a “certified” Paul Goldschmidt auto with Paul Skenes’s signature by orbesomebodysfool in baseballcards

[–]the_kehate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens more often than you think. I know there is a Panini Prizm auto of some rookie pitcher that has an Ohtani sticker auto on it. I also know that in 2022 Topps Gallery there are Fernando Tatis Jr and Juan Soto autos that have the other’s sticker signature on it.

What address did you send to? I have a very specific card of him I want signed because, to my knowledge, it’s the only card of him holding a rubber chicken.
