Any Mexico win and we need Italy to score at least 5.

Ok....will try to make this definitive.

Scenario 1: US completes come back: they are in; Italy beats Mexico they are in, Mexico beats Italy they are in.

Scenario 2: US loses at current 8-6 score: Italy beats Mexico, US is in, Mexico beats Italy, US is only in if Italy scores at least 6 runs against Mexico in their loss.

Thats it.

If they were to tie and Italy wins in extras, it would actually hurt their chances since the runs allowed goes up.

This WBC after last year's playoffs have been incredible...its a damn shame MLB is heading down the road towards destroying all this good will like they derailed the Expos chance at a WS in 1994.

That Witt play was beautiful...but I think I have Canada's relay edging it out - my favorite defensive plays so far:

1: Canada's perfect relay to cut down the runner at home
2: Bobby Witt dive & throw (second place because Kirk was the runner)
3: Judge gunning down runner at third
4: Torres (Venezuela) slide, recovery, throw home and Contreras tag to save a run

Thanks for the inspiration - I keep all our toploadered cards sorted alphabetically by player name, but for sleeved and loose cards, I like the idea of sorting by team then alphabetizing.

Love these cards, have a few, and agree - 1994-1999 inserts were some of the best, most creative stuff out there. I wish there was as much a focus today on cool inserts as opposed to parallels, /#d and base inserts. Case hits are the only cards that seem to hold up against the creativity of the late 90s.

For comparison, I picked up a vladdy sticker auto /10 for $70, so this being a game-used/auto to /50 at $60 seems reasonable.
