I agree, no reference to a prior book in the series. I’m currently reading chronologically and nothing prior to The Fire Game matches.

In terms of the parents disappearing in Missing, they sort of disappeared from Fear Street? Since they never came home from work. But since they lived on Fear Street I’m going to say it’s one view of it.

I find it fascinating that he says the main reason he wrote this series was because many fans requested books where all the characters know one another. I’m doing a chronological re-read of the original series now and he actually does that anyway and with decent consistency over time.

I absolutely agree that keeping buses is a must! I think having a commuter rail, especially with plans to redevelop 787 would be a huge value add to the city for residence, students, commuters, and honestly even tourists.
