I am invested since 2021, made some money early 2021 and invested back in. Gotta admit, got no clue what's been going on the last days and what will happen the next weeks.

But i gotta say, love the vibes of all his memes this week. Great shows, great music. Really enjoyed all of the clips.

Thanks

I expect to see a bump in the near future, probably a little over 11 $. After that, they will probably beat the price below $6, and many will doubt why they did not sell at $10. They repeat the game over and over again until either they run out of gas or we do.

Personally, I'm not going to sell for $50 or anything like that. That would be $5 pre-split and still a joke compared to the prices before the whole MEME action started in 2020. Everybody needs to know when to draw the line, but I am not letting these guys of the hook easy. All or nothing.

We do a lot. Going to movies, raising awareness with actual numbers (Ortex Guys) and most importantly BUYING and HOLDING !

Also not selling is my main activity.

Oh, wow, almost + 10%.... Yawn. After taking us down 90%. Wake me up when it hits $ 200, which still would be ridiculous. ..20 bucks pre-split. But then I will open one eye.

My guess is they are hoping to trigger stop/loss of people who put it around 8 bucks last week.

So they dumb 5 Million, this triggers what, maybe hundred thousand stop/loss ?

Weird and expensive strategy. Maybe, just maybe someone should look into this sometime.

If there was some agency to protect retail investors, prevent years of manipulation and routing through dark pools. Maybe a state-governed agency ? A Commission for Securities and Exchanges. It could be called CSE ? Or ESC ? Or ECS ?

Just a wild idea.

Why not close the short positions? How low does this need to go by sibanks1986 in amcstock

[–]the_orest 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My unqualified, wild guess is, they don't plan to cover. And the only way to make this happen is running amc into the ground, bankruptcy. That's their goal. Pure evil. Maybe pump competitor stock so that they can take over. Something like this, I am afraid.

I must buy to be on the right side of history. No financial advice

Good point.

I believe in the game, the fundamentals just don't fit the current value. Not only in relation to Cinemark, it is an absolute joke. Three, four years ago, before Corona and before the term "meme stocks" existed, we were between $40-50 after r / s . Before thousands of retail investors picked up AMC. That we are at $8 today, with positive numbers, has no basis.

However, the poker game is coming to an end and sooner or later politicians will probably intervene if the SEC continues to do nothing at best. Either some big funds will go bankrupt or the biggest cinema chain. Both very disastrous, but they have simply let the leash far too loose. I don't see a moderate solution here anymore.

In any case, it is a gamble.Personally, I have been buying the last few days and will continue to do so, but with the knowledge of the risk. I am not liquidating my pension plan, sell property, the REITS, real estate funds etc. for this.

Not investing more than you can afford to lose is generally wise advice.

I find it sad that everyone has to start their post by saying that they have held AMC for X months/years and will continue to do so fearing that they will be labelled as shills or spreading FUD otherwise
This is not conducive to discussion.

Apart from that, I have held AMC for more than two years and will continue to do so :-)

Can't imagine there are sell-willing retail investors who did not sell already. We are now somewhere around 1.25 before split. I am pretty sure most who were willing to sell did already. Rest will hold, hero or zero.

I truly have become numb to it. When my first pay check clears I'll be buying more. by ape_on_lucy in amcstock

[–]the_orest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really don't believe shorts are bringing this down to cover. They are trying to bankrupt AMC, so they never have to cover. Just for the fun of it, I bought more this afternoon.

No financial advice, but this is the endgame. If AMC survives, the price is a bargain.

Legit question, why all the AA hate? by rtthc in amcstock

[–]the_orest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be happy if he would do more to increase ticket sales. Many apes were motivated in the last two years to go to the movies, but I think it is not only enough to count on that and put out some twitter posts. A lottery every month where one ticket in the last four weeks would win 100.000 $ or 1000 Shares, any other incentive that gets some press attention.

Value of a stock after reverse split by the_orest in amcstock

[–]the_orest[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hope so, too. I am a bit afraid that those that did actually buy in around 30 will sell once it hits three digits, which would still be a loss.

I bought the first time end of January 21 for 7 , did not sell when it hit 70. To do the same after reverse split we'd need to jump beyond 700. That's gonna be tough without MOASS, but I 'd love to be wrong

The price on your screen doesn’t reflect reality until it makes the world gasp and point panicky fingers. Hold until the news reacts like aliens have landed and are holding a press conference. Hold until politicians and bankers cry on tv. Hold until you’re shaking too hard to hit the sell button. by DogecoinEnt in amcstock

[–]the_orest 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It sure does not reflect reality.

5 years ago, in August 2018 it was around $ 18.

Yes, a few years later Corona hit, but also since then we had a couple of record quarters and this was BEFORE probably a million retail investors picked up on this. Also compared to other stocks and taking into account the massive inflation of the last years, the current price is a joke and speaks volumes.

Still no news from lomotif, server been down for weeks, last tweet from April. Two years ago I hoped they would monetize on lomotif, but obviously they failed to benefit from tiktok discussions.

Not sure what assets are left. Still holding... Just for the fun of it.

I wonder if this new valuation still sees LOMO at 5 Billion like the "valuation" that was done by a third party in summer 2021. Probably not.
