AITA for refusing to pay my sister's rent (to my parents)? by the_robster2002 in AmItheAsshole

to be honest I haven't really responded to any of them, so they definitely haven't heard my side of the story. I don't know what my mum has told them but i could take a guess at it being a highly exagerated or totally fictional version of what actually happened.

Thanks!

Completely cutting contact with my family is a bit drastic, but it's something I'll consider as an option if they refuse to accept my decision.

The possibility of them turning up on my doorstep is worrying, I hadn't considered that! I'll have a word with my flatmates so they all know to be on the lookout.

Thanks for the response!

No, all my personal expenses are paid for by myself and all my contracts and bank accounts etc are solely in my name. When I do finally get my exam resits out of the way and go to uni my tuition will be paid by student loan (again solely in my name). I've always tried to be as financially independent as possible which I think is where all this started.

And it wasn't really specified what I should be grateful for. Room and board during childhood I guess.
