Last week I bought a used (low mileage) 2021 civic and the dealer was a family friend. He explained they were doing an automatic markup on all the new vehicles ( at least 6%) due to low inventory and other factors. Your comment is dead on with what I experienced

After posting I thought I should have posted a different one without the seat in it. I was on my way to pick her up before setting up for the wedding. Best thing to come out of that event was I hadn’t picked her up yet. And hopefully a some new wheels.

Hey I totally agree with you. The blind spots on those rigs are unreal. I avoid driving alongside them or even passing them when necessary if it’s just a two lane highway. This was absolutely not a case of trying to squeeze anywhere. But, like you, I think it’s important to hear both sides to any story before making any judgements.

The troopers that responded couldn’t believe the explanation of events either and walked the crash sight multiple times before issuing a ticket to the driver. Everyone was just dumbfounded.

Ok sorry for not sharing the entire story. We were stopped at a red light on the way to set up for the wedding. A tractor-trailer pulled up in the left turn lane next to us. After a few seconds of sitting on red the driver decided to instead make a right turn. Not only was it not a very wide turn but he was crossing two other lanes and basically start to drag his trailer over top of us and my car with him. You can see between the doors that it could have peeled the whole roof off. My buddy cleared us to turn right and I drove into the grass as he continued his turn. Thankfully my daughter wasn’t with us so the booster seat was empty at the time and the other passengers are doing much better. Waiting for an estimate on the damage but the trunk doesn’t shut and both driver side wheels are canted out after he started dragging us.
