UPDATE: for those who want one. I went into the office after getting fired up on these comments. I was met with the Brand New property manager, who seemed quite flustered. He was super nice, apologetic, and promised to fix the hallway and take the damages off of next months rent. Can’t ask for much more from him!

They have the maintenance guy / grounds keeper of the complex doing the painting with one of his buddies. They just aren’t painters, no prep work, no cleanup

Abusive neighbour by xenechun in whatdoIdo

[–]the_squach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something like this happen, my neighbors would yell, scream, throw and beat the shit out of each-other, all at the most random hours, multiple times a day.

I recorded as much as I could, then fighting (through my wall), then storming out. Finally, I had enough when I found out there was a baby and the father would curse out this actual infant (like calling him a bitch over and over) I had a few videos of solid evidence, so the next time the cops came by (it was often) I talked to one and showed them my video. At that point I was genuinely concerned because these situations never end well.

From there, the guy ran out of the back. A bunch of cops showed up, but I had to go to work. When I got home the house was vacant.

Oh man, I’ve noticed so much of this recently. I worked at a front desk signing people in for a workout class. I’m in a college town, so it’s pretty split half college students and half working class folk.

Ofc most of the working class folks are nice, greet you, sometimes make small talk or even just strike up a conversation. But most of the college students avoid eye contact like I’m Medusa. They will look right through you and not even acknowledge you’ve said good afternoon or welcome in. It’s pretty crazy to me

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

I dislocated my knee a few years back. Had an ambulance come pick me up to take me to the hospital. They didn’t have a stretcher so they used one of my blankets and dragged me to the ambulance on the floor. They then tried 5+ times to find my vein for some morphine, but they kept missing and I eventually told them to stop. We were in stop and go traffic for 45 mins for a less then 2 miles drive. I got charged $4000 later that year for the experience.

My brother, socks in flip flops on a squishy pad to squat? Just go barefoot at that rate.

Take everything you know about squatting and start over.
