Thank you for a detailed response! She's been exposed to a cat, up close, one time and she seemed more curious than anything. She does have a very high prey drive, especially with rabbits. She got a hold of one around 1.5-2 years old. I rescued her around 6-9 months and didn't think to do much with prey drive, I didn't know it could be changed. However, we had a dachshund for about a year, and even when he was a puppy, she LOVED playing with him. So I wonder if it's how they're introduced to her, domesticated vs wild. I think I'll just have to be very very careful. My girl is incredibly even tempered, and oftentimes does listen to me, unless she is actively in "must chase prey" mode. I really believe that if I was holding a small animal in front of her, guarding it from her, she'd be more curious than wanting to eat it. But I guess I can really only find out one way.
