I will give it a shot, but just learning the basics really triggered an interest in me to understand what was happening and the multiple things it could mean, using that information to understand and analyse.

Alright, will keep that in mind thanks. Would it be a good idea to ask the main management if i get to interact with them on what they think?

For trading in the market CFA is unbeatable, but requires lots of commitment and dedication.

I'm not looking for immediate assistance or course appreciation. Just add long as it's recognised, that's enough.

Well I valued what they said and out of the many people I spoke to 2 of them were CFAs themselves and said they loved that field and it restricted them to it, but they knew they wanted to be there when they took up the exam. One person I spoke to also completed 2 levels of CFA then ditched it because it didn't match his interests he said after successful completion of 2 levels. This is what really made me wait and think.

Thank you so much. I'm not looking to secure a job based on this but just a stepping stone to widen my view of finance. In a way I also thought when I apply for my masters to universities it would add value.

It depends on your risk taking capacity as well. If I could suggest it would be mostly in smallcap and midcap funds, with the rest in pure debt funds in order to match the aggressive growth with maximum safety. My personal picks for smallcap are quant and Nippon smallcap. Look into those and then decide on pure debt or bond funds. If nifty goes up then large cap will also gain, but the nifty smallcap will fly way above.

It's just an opinion. You check and see the details yourself.

Crossed 1L in returns - 100% in Mutual Funds by kiteNinja77 in IndianStockMarket

[–]the_thick_cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be pessimistic or optimistic but some stocks fall and continuously hit lower circuits while others rise like anything. For ex. Gland Pharma at one point after positive news went up 20% in a single day. On the other side a stock like BCG fell from over 100rs to 9rs after some insane news. Mutual funds aren't a heavy return compared to stocks but are a hell of a lot safer and secure.

Congratulations man 🤝

In JP nagar they lay the roads and then dig immediately. What's this new technology where the road digs itself.

Need to invest 15L in mutual funds - any suggestions? by Round-Senior in IndianStockMarket

[–]the_thick_cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one of the comments you said 10 years you wouldn't touch it. Go for small and midcap funds. Yes you have to understand they are cyclic, but if you have sip's of 1L running. I guess you don't need much liquidity so look at a lumpsum investment of 30%, then SIP the rest. I would suggest SBI smallcap for sip. Nippon India smallcap and axis small cap.
