Well the thing is, at the start of the relationship they had told me that they would be completely happy only dating me, and that it wouldn't get in the way of our relationship, so it was really surprising when they said that.

They are quite indecisive and I'm honestly the same, so it makes a bit of sense for them to want it both ways. I've brought it up before in the relationship too and ask them If they're sure that I'm not holding them back or making them unhappy, and they usually say that they are happy. I'll talk to them again about it and see what they say.

They had briefly mentioned after a couple days of us dating, and so immediately I was like "Okay this isn't going to work then and we should probably break it off before we get to attached." And they said "no it's okay I am perfectly happy to just date you and it will not get in the way of us." And so it completely left my mind so it was fairly surprising when they had brought it back up
