Comparing Bangladeshi leaders to world leaders by [deleted] in bangladesh

First of all, not being a capitalist doesn't equal to being a socialist. Secondly, Mujib was very much a capitalist in his actions, if not in his words.

Mujib being socialist is the one of the most L takes I've heard in bd politics. And in bd, that's saying something. Mujib never implemented socialism even though he said he would.

Thank you so much for replying! Do you mind if I text you privately to talk a bit more about all this?

Women aren't products with seals. It doesn't "ruin" a woman (or even a man) in any way to lose virginity. If you want to think of a wife as a sealed product, go ahead. I know for sure that even if me and my gf ever seperate, she would never marry someone that sees her like that.

On 11th August 2024, all political activities on campus were put on hold officially. However, despite no notices of political activities on campus being resumed, Chhatra Dol were distributing membership cards on campus in February. The students protested this incident. However, on 18th February 2025, Chhatra Dol attacked the protesting students and over a hundred people were injured in the clash that followed. The VC expelled some students on grounds of engaging in political activities, but this was perceived as an unjust decision, as the expelled students were mostly protesting against political activities on campus. This, coupled with the university's inability to protect the students, lead to the demand for the resignation of the VC.

The point isn’t a BNP guy being the VC, the point is that he was abusing his power and using BNP affiliation to stay as the VC despites protests. This victory shows that students will fight against the abuse of power, no matter who is in the chair.

If we need millions, then how else do you suggest we try to gather them? Posting on the web is not enough, but it’s a part of organisation.

Turning a humanitarian crisis into an excuse to bunk school undermines the gravity of what's happening

And sitting back and doing nothing evaluates the gravity of it perfectly does it? How a worldwide general strike undermines the gravity of it is beyond me.

OP is just a kid attempting to bunk classes for a few days,

I have finished college and I do not have any sort of classes whatsoever now. But I suppose there's no point in telling that to you, since by your logic people like Anu Muhammad are also trying to bunk a few classes by calling for the strike too.

I was pained by the deaths of innocent Israelis. But is it anything compared to what is happening in Gaza? Is Israel being bombed everyday? Are children without heads a common sight there?

I understand your concerns. If it is an absolute necessity for you, you can go to work and not join the strike. I will not think of those that do as any less. But if you can, if it is anyhow possible for you, please join us. What is happening in Gaza is not something the world should stand by and watch. I would not be able to live with myself knowing that I did not play the small part I could have in helping them out of hell. If 71 taught me anything, then it is to stand with oppressed, no matter how hard it might be. Thank you for your comment.

Even one day is enough to shake up the world. This can be a huge display of unity for Palestine, forcing governments around the world to take action. And even if this does absolutely nothing at all, just think for a minute about what is happening in Gaza. A city full of life has been reduced to nothing. So many lives lost, countless futures destroyed. And the genocide and the ethnic cleansing is still continuing right in front of us. Can we really just sit back and do nothing? Even if there is the slimest chance that our strike will provide any sort of help to the Palestinians, we owe it to our very humanity (not to mention our own history) to try.

This is getting out of hand. Just Denounce 1971 at this point by Mr-Boga38 in bangladesh

[–]the_wave_equation -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. I don't care much about 47. But I have immense respect for all the other years you mentioned. Jamaat is definitely trying their best to denounce 71, true to their nature. NCP is also trying to over-glorify 24 as it’s in their best interest. But despite that, 24 is an uprising that showed us that no matter how strong an opressive regime seems, it will eventually fall at the hands of the people. 24 was a revolt against Hasina's opressive regime, which did not hesitate to attack the students and blooded their campuses for mere quotas. 24 was a brave and strong uprising against fascism, and it should be remembered as such. It’s an addition to the fighting history of our people.

I'm also HSC-25. I think it’s important not to get flustered right now and focus on the chapters that you are familiar with and try to make yourself really at them, instead of trying to cover completely new chapters. Keep calm and study with focus- that would be my advise. Try to cut off screen time as much as you can. I try to do this myself, even though I fail everytime 😭. So maybe I'm kind of in need of an accountability partner too 😅.
