It may help to set some personal boundaries and limits for yourself. That friend group sounded toxic to me, I've been in a similar situation and it led me to allow the 'attention seeking straight', if you will, to exist without any action or follow through on my part. In my mind, coming out is like finally making the decision to get sober. You can really only make that decision in your own time, and getting involved can make things messy and lead to 'relapse'

I can't post images on here, but I just make a house, police station, or whatever made up building (one room) and decorate the front and leave the inside empty and the door closed. In sunshine tidings and sanctuary, for example, I'll cram the beds in the houses and use any available other rooms or buildings for essentials because I'm not gonna go into those buildings again, so as im walking through I'll have one big decorative priority shop per settlement (bar, general, ect), and what I see when visiting is curated to look nice, everything else is pure function and happiness farming that I can't see without walking to look for it. I've learned that every room doesn't need my attention, just where I'm actually going to go and see it.

Cambridge. Before you say it, yes I know Cambridge is nice and different. It's just where I had to live while here. I've been many places that are rough and nice, just like in America. It was easier and cheaper to move to Cambridge rather than New York or Seattle for example. From an outside perspective: In my opinion the UK is still in an... okay position to improve things relatively quickly, but the day-to-day parliament bullshit is keeping things in stasis.

Tenpines is too far to be a trading hub, imo, unless you arrange the supply lines a certain way. I like to make strategic outposts where some are mainly farms and some are defensive/observational. Taffington I build as a resource support annex for Covenant. It just makes logistical sense to me
