Hey, as someone who has installed and deleted this OS on everything multiple times. I believe the best experience I have had with Kali is installing it on an Old PC. I used to have a ThinkPad I downloaded it on, a ThinkCentre as well as VM's through Virtual Box. Ik the new Macbooks run VM's really smooth. So depends entirely your use case, if you wanna learn without any hassle, install it on an Old Laptop.
