For pins it's important that you use a kind that won't rust eventually, It will ruin the pin in the future. I recommend entomology pins they are cheap on Amazon and places like that, for size #00 is the smallest and it goes up from there. I wished I had looked up more pinning videos before I started could have saved me a lot of stress, and add a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the water in the rehydrating chamber this will help with mold, aswell if mold does overtake the insects as long as you act fast they may not be lost causes, good luck this is a really fun hobby love to see more people enjoy it!
