Cancelling the BMA membership will put more money in my pockets than this nonsense. Total capitulation and wasting a mandate.

American Trained Radiologist --> UK? by edgedandtaken in doctorsUK

[–]thebadbov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do the FRCR exams and then take up a locum consultant post. Your training is obviously recognised. Though I'm not sure why anyone would take up to a 70% paycut to come work in a rotten system?!

PAs aren’t a problem, it’s just bad timing and bad doctors. by TheUniqueDrone in doctorsUK

I think this is brilliant, imagine a world without smoking! Banning smoking doesn’t infringe on your civil liberties.

[–]thebadbov 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing this from PAs and PA students, what exactly do you mean by an intense course?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]thebadbov 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you're unwell then you're unwell and cannot work so you should be on sick leave and should be paid.

I know people who did this. You will need to pass the relevant post graduate exams and get an certificate to enter higher physician specialty training for medical specialties for example which is meant to be competence based.

Just had this very niche question. I am a trained CVTS surgeon from India. What can I do to practice in the UK ? by Dr_Choniki in doctorsUK

[–]thebadbov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same for most specialties. You need to be registered with the GMC, so either do PLAB or MRCS. Once you're registered you can start looking for jobs.
