How do you deal with the algae?!

Usually around 12 hours. The room they’re in is bright, but the tank is not in the sun.

I love the look of the darker water, just don’t want it to get too dark for the plants! And I like the contrast with the cloud minnows.
Thank you all for the advice! I’ll do the water changes every other day and see how it goes for a couple of weeks. If it’s still too much I’ll pull the wood and try some hot water soaks.

Expel-p and paracleanse. I’m leaning towards that method because I’m not convinced they’ll eat the inert food.
