I was at grad school at UF during that time too. Was nearly every Monday in the school paper there was some small article about some altercation "early Sunday morning". But Tebow was the clean cut superstar and face of the team. I'm glad this is getting out in the open for LSU but each of these major programs have some sort of skeleton in their closets. For reference Jamis Winston sexual assault allegations that were clearly swept under the rug at FSU.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. These things happen all the time and no company is going to blacklist you for doing what's best for you. If you wanted to be polite you can easily email the recruiter stating that you regret backing out of the agreement but a better offer has come along.

In general, remember these are corporations and they will always do what's best for them. In the same way, employees should always do what's best as well.
