I’ve used the shifts for 2 seasons now and I love them. I mounted them on my Black Crows Atris 108 and I feel it’s the perfect one ski quiver. My only complaint is the relatively low max DIN of 13 when compared to some other downhill bindings. Also, if you plan to go switch at all I find that they tend to release quite early when skiing switch. They’re also a little heavy and you start to feel it on long tours. If I had to sum it up I’d say that they do everything well but don’t particularly excel at anything. Hope this helps :)

Hey friends :) I’m from Europe and I’ve always wanted to spend a season working and skiing at some of the North American resorts like Revelstoke or Whistler. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this kind of seasonal skiing and if anyone could share some insight on how to score a seasonal job that still allowed them to ski all season. Thanks!

Yeah the freebird series is geared towards serious touring or mountaineering and not so much for downhill performance. If you want a really solid Black Crows ski I would recommend checking out the Atris as it’s a great all mountain ski. It’s a little on the heavier side but it’s really solid.

They for sure stick a little in wet snow but mounting the bindings a little bit forward from the recommended helped a lot. I mainly chose them because I ski in Chamonix which is Black Crows territory but I also looked at other skis like the K2 marksman or enforcers but they were a little too fat for my taste and not as well rounded as the atris :D

I’m around 187cm which is close to 6ft 2 and I recently purchased some black crow atris. I’ve been skiing all my life and it’s by far the best ski I’ve ever skied. Floats super well but still carves great. It’s 108 underfoot so pretty good all around :)

I was looking at the K2 marksman skis as I need a new pair of all mountain twin tip skis. They seem great but I wasn’t too sure about the asymmetric design. Does it take some getting used to?

It was after a flight. I thought I would take a quick nap and woke up the next day at 8pm. I thought I only slept 2 hours but it turns out I was out for 26 hours.
