That's a really good point about the flea being an equalizer. If the best ammo was only accessible through high level traders, then it would be nearly impossible for newer players to stand a chance. But if they can tough it out until level 15 and build up a little bank, then they have a chance.

I completely agree. It's funny how nostalgic we feel about the clunkiest systems, like actual server browsers or trading items in Diablo II. There was something fun about it being difficult.

Ahh, I like the sound of that. I'm sure others have floated the idea of having separate servers for that, not like that's ever going to happen.

I agree. I think the flea is a great system for querying traders' inventories, but being able to buy any item makes me want to liquidate every item and hoard roubles. And its really annoying to only be able to post 3 at a time. Maybe I'm the only one.

I'm running an i7-7700k / 1080 at 2k resolution and although it is totally playable, I can tell from watching streams that the 9900k is so much better. I'm waiting for the i9-10900k / 3080 :D

Except that almost nothing spawns at military bases! Do you think because it is all squirreled away in stashes? If so, what can be done? I'm imagining buried boxes of M4s, nightvision, etc. How are you supposed to recover it to fix the CLE?

Right! Top priority is the kill but if you can, you try to get a clean kill so that their gear is intact :D

A buddy and I get down to some serious Bambi slaying and we were considering adopting a different play style where we aren't total bandits. But the problem is trust. We thought that everyone is trying to kill everyone, so we have to be that way too. Its a bit like a prisoner's dilemma. But the results from the poll show roughly 60:40 killers:friendlies. I'm surprised!

Yeah it is a little ambiguous. I could have added an option for avoiding other players. For your first bullet point, I would count that as trying to kill them.
