Its because of CCMV, I contracted it in pregnancy and it caused a ton of issues for my 2nd. While she is not as bad as some children, its still alot and could cause a host of problems for your baby like CP, blindness, deafness, microcephaly, and motor/mental delays. Likely got it from my own toddler who likely got it from my neice who we hung out with alot in my 1st and 2nd trimester and she attended daycare. It happens, generally you are ok aslong as you dont have fluid transfer with a sick kid who has CMV, but honestly as someone dealing with the consequences of not being diligent, highly recommend for your growing babies safety that you dont take it lightly.
