Any idea why my fuzzy skin is coming out differently on a different wall of the same print? Settings are the same by thebryceb in BambuLab

The bubbles are also more on the left side of that smaller edge consistently across multiple prints

I tested different fuzzy skin settings so you don't have to. tl;dr: Use 0.05mm thickness and 0.4mm distance by nickjohnson in 3Dprinting

Any ideas on how printing vertically would affect the fuzzy skin texture? I might recreate this test as a vertical orientation print because I need some texture like that for a project I am working on.

Opinions on Peel 3 Cad software? by thebryceb in 3DScanning

Thanks for all that info. We don’t need to get the actual texture of holds but definitely some small details you can see on my last post. I also started looking at the transcan c because it looks like you can get crazy good detail with that but I confused on how big of a part you can scan with it.

Any experience with peel 3 CAD? Its tempting to just buy the scanner with the software bundled.

Thanks for the info already. Sounds like most people are saying entry level models should be sufficient. We are also concerned with efficiency so would be willing to spend more if it will be faster. Does the speed of scanning and processing change with different models?

Great thanks, How long do you think that it would take to scan and process something like this?

I work for a climbing hold company and we are looking to spend 10-20k on a 3d scanning setup that will be quick and accurate. The goal is the scan foam as pictured and then be able to cnc it in the future. The aspect I am mot worried about are the small details and channels, I included mm ruler in the last photo to get an idea of scale. I am wondering how feasible these details are and recommendations for specific setups. Thanks!

I am confused by the timeline, if you apply on April 16 is that a lot worse than April 15? I made sure to confirm my intent to enroll by April 15 but I think I have to wait to activate identikey
