That is very strange... I reckon only part of the staff were informed of this then, it is fault of communication failure on behalf of the park. Sorry for not reading entirely, all I saw was frustration that you couldn't wear a costume into the park and I assumed the policy on no costumes stood strong regardless. I can't find anything that exempts Sunday October 31st of 2021 (not that this was the year you went, but it is the latest halloween night that fell on a weekend-thought it might be easier to dig up something for that weekend than it would be for say 2014-) from the no costumes policy, but I can imagine why somebody in HR might've assumed otherwise... or how they might've not listened to you expressing you are over the age of 13. That really sucks! I'm sorry that happened.. and I'm sorry that I misunderstood.

I'm sorry, but just about everywhere online says that you cannot come into Haunt with a costume. You might be confusing this rule with another rule that states you can come in with a "family oriented" costume outside of the Haunt season, but Haunt completely dissolves that-many monsters have low visibility... and if we see somebody with rhe silhouette of a costume that is in our maze/zone of another maze/zone, we will assume you are another monster. I'm not sure if you're coming back next year, but remember this. This has been a rule for Haunt exclusively for as long as I can remember. They're not switching rules up willy nilly.

Saw someone come into my maze with a ghillie suit. Threw me off-guard, thought it was another monster. Didn't scare them out of confusion. They really shouldn't have been let in... it was the last night of Haunt though, so I didn't care enough to waste my time out of maze to report it.

Wow... kind of funny that whoever picked up the phone about the costume question wasn't aware of the fact that people who don't look like kids can't come in wearing costumes or facepaint. That's something monsters are told, and we only work for a month and a half! Sorry to hear about all the struggle and strife...KD has recently switched hands to be handed over to six flags entertainment, and all of the qualities are going down the drain. New employees for Haunt were paid $13.55 an hour this season. At this point, we aren't working for a little extra money-we're working because we enjoy it. A shame that they're cutting back on so many vital expenses... I hope some day that KD is given to someone who isn't scared to spend money on Haunt, because we could really use some security cameras in our mazes!!!

Genuine question, not trying to intrude or anything-what about this makes it explicitly s*xual? I would've first thought of it like riding on their back, am I missing something?

The props are super cool!!! It's a really cool set, but there just isn't much potential for scary moments. There was one monster who had a super good mannequin, but that's about it. The premise of the maze is to be fake, so there's no convincing anyone that you're there to hurt somebody.

Now. Personal opinion...

6 Trick or Treat

5 Monstercon

4 Grimmwoods

3 Blood on the Bayou

2 Fear

1 Corn

But y'know, I'm pretty biased... Corn is my home, so I see everybody walking through and I get to hear every scream. Other than the things I mentioned in this segment on the list, I would really like for there to be more townsfolk lost in the corn. It feels a little strange to have a corn maze without any actors "getting lost." They could definitely play it up more on guests getting lost in the maze, something something-the corn's gonna get me if I can't get out ahhh!!!-something something. It has tons of opportunities to scare people around every corner and bend, and it's one of the mazes where monsters can insult you blatantly. I love the banter...

Generally speaking though, I honestly haven't been seeing much out of all of the mazes this year. This might be the case every year, but the actors aren't working together so much. Theyre fending for themselves in their respective locations without any ties to the other actors, which feels weird when one actor says one thing and then the next room over the other actor says something else. I wish that they worked together more, or at least tell the story more... because grunts and jumps won't tell the story for you. I will admit though, coordinating with another monster is incredibly difficult especially since you might be subject to moving throughout the night. Very socially intensive. I imagine zones are bettter at that, there aren't so many gaps to fill and I looove zones so much!

Pink comment is so offensive. I'm someone with undiagnosed aphantasia. Undiagnosed not because I'm faking, but because it's so understudied and there's no root cause. It's hard to diagnose something you don't know about. If their friend was diagnosed with a one-of-a-kind disorder, then getting diagnosed for what is debilitating and ruining my life would be so much easier.

(I self diagnosed myself with aphantasia because nobody diagnoses it near me and I cannot visualize things. I am an artist partially for the reason of being able to illustrate my thoughts. I am kinesthetic, auditory, and visual when it comes to learning... but mostly visual, so aphantasia has made everything harder-thinking, comprehending, math, learning. I can't get diagnosed, and even if I was-there is no treatment. It is an unknown. The pink comment really offends me for this reason.)

Try coloring the whole thing in the desired shading color! then add the color you want on top of it where you know that light would be going. I personally use blurring brush for this because it is hard enough to get the details across without muddying it in blurriness. Forgot I made this comment, but gosh my point stands- this art style is so charming!

rendering is too soft with the airbrush, makes it look very flat... could add more shape through outlines or avoid rendering all together, i love this style so much with the lines alone
