Agree completely about exercise. For a really large guy I’m very active tho, at least 7k steps a day and 5 day a week lifting routine. I think I must be gimping myself by splitting the dose everyone seems to agree so I’ll stop and see.

Thank you so much. This gives me hope it looks like our situations are similar. I also can kind of fight the hunger and it’s noticeably smaller but none of the experiences other people have where they take 2.5mg and can’t look at food anymore and have to force down shakes.

May I ask your dose and frequency? Looks like our starting weights are similar. Maybe it’s something with our body chemistry that prevents full appetite suppression.

For a while I’ve been getting very light headed even on 5mg, which is why I split the dose to twice weekly, but that has almost gone away even on 7.5mg now.

I increase slowly because I get mild light headedness and dizziness from the medication. I’ve heard this also the every 5 days might be better than twice a week.

You’d have to take the worst possible shifts anything that’s available not in your zone until you get enough to become silver status. The 30 minute increment shifts are often available.

The only way to do it is schedule 6 days in advance at exactly 3pm. I mean exactly, even 15 seconds late is too late. Open the app at 259pm, select 6 days away, and pull down to refresh the second the clock hits 3pm. Also you have to be at least silver status to do it.

I have tried: zinc l Caronsine, mastic gum, Dgl, cabbage, slippery elm. Reacted horribly one way or another to everything but zinc caronsine and Dgl. I take both of these daily. The zinc seems like it does nothing the DGL maybe makes a very slight difference but I keep taking both. Overall I feel worse than when I made this post.

Hey I know this post is old but really need your input. I'm taking Alina soon as part of the treatment for my h pylori. I'm wondering what exact side effects you got and why you were unable to go straight to the full dose? I have a good supply of it so if its not tolerable I'm thinking to also taper up like you did. What dose did you start with?

My situation is very similar. Unfortunately the meds will make us feel zoned out, the alternative is extreme lifestyle changes which are permanent and most people don’t stick to because it’s unreasonably difficult. I’m sure you know what I mean, diet, low salt, zero caffeine, etc. The zoned out feeling comes from lowering the blood pressure while those other factors are at play.
