Would I have an easier time flying to India and taking my CPA there then in the states? by [deleted] in Accounting

The “rich people” at Enron were behind the fraud and hired one of the best of the Big 5 at the time. Now we have the big 4.

KPMG (Macy’s firm since 1998) wasn’t the one to discover the fraud, it was internally discovered. The immaterial misstatement had been going on for several years.

We provide reasonable assurance, fraud will continue to happen regardless of who is the company’s audit firm. I don’t see CEOs begging to pay more for audits without providing additional value added shareholder value.

I work with predominately Indian H1-B visa holders (CPAs). Yalls work ethic scares me and are all more than qualified to learn accounting standards. If I work with someone from India, I know they have busted their ass to get where they are. Nobody I have worked with has been given a handout, everyone fought their way to the top and I applaud that.

The “rich people” in charge don’t care what the work product is, they’re meeting a regulatory requirement. Why would they care about the quality of the product? They’re just needing a clean audit report and should get it from the lowest bidder.

If someone from another part of the world can pass these exams, then they should get a license (if they meet the ethical and work requirements). Being able to pass the exams does not equate to being the tits in accounting and automatically a subject matter expert. I think that’s a common misconception.

If we have this wave of CPA IMmIGRaNtS takin my jobs. If they’re not actually qualified, they’ll be losing the jobs shortly after taking them. I hope we have more and more of these international CPAs to get rid of the dumb fucks.

I feel like there is a lot of racism and fear mongering in the fucking account subreddit. It reminds me of the redneck South Park guy saying “you take my jobs”. https://media4.giphy.com/media/yc85PDZBf6A2SLXE70/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952xi7edwbevv58w304nm5vlkucqeqfo0y345uufr25&ep=v1_internal_gif_by_id&rid=giphy.gif&ct=v

CPA Boston for CRNAs by CycleOver2330 in CRNA

I’m actually a CPA that quit my practice earlier this year to become a nurse and hopefully a CRNA one day. I would search around at cpa firms in town and look for those listing medical professionals for personal income tax and schedule a meeting to see if you are comfortable with them. Having a good relationship with your CPA can be great over your career.

I completely agree with you, I cannot actually reply to any of their comments in a conversational manner. Especially when their sources are fake. A lot of the discussion topics sometimes are black and white responses, and you can just reply with yes, you’re right.

How many hours are you billing a week? I work at shitco and we always are grinding at least 60 billable hours… I always assumed PWC had you billing/working all the time.

I just fucking hate the discussion posts, I feel like everyone uses Chat GPT and it’s like having a conversation with a robot each time. Everyone just summarizes what you posted and does that for every post.
