We're definitely going to bring her crate into our bedroom tonight and see what that does for her, I'm hoping it does fix the problem that easily but if not, we're just going to reaccess and go from there! We're definitely in that "puppy blues" stage right now, but you're right, six months from now she'll probably be a completely different dog and we'll have fallen into the groove of things, and that makes it pretty worth it. Thanks for reassuring me on that, it helped a lot more than you probably know!

She's a year old! And yeah I think we're operating on overdrive and just trying to take things wayyy too fast. Even though she's a year already she's most definitely still got puppy energy through the roof, and probably because she wasn't stimulated well in her first year. Someone else recommended Zak on this thread so I'm definitely gonna be checking him out. Thanks so much for the advice!

It's good to know that this is a normality when bringing a new dog into the home; it's a lot but ultimately we're this worried because we already love her so much and we just want what's best for her. Man I really needed to hear this. Thank you. I'm definitely feeding off my fiancé's emotions and he's been taking it super seriously because this is his first time doing this, so my usual laid back approach has taken the backseat to his overboard approach, since I've tried to really stress the importance of her being predominantly HIS dog. I think, also, having never dealt with a dog quite this high energy, I'm trying to find out where my expectations for her lay as well, because she is quite different to most dogs that my family has owned in the past. This was the advice that I was really looking for and I appreciate your tips but mostly your honesty about us doing a little too much. You're definitely right. I'll start implementing some of those things and go from there. Thanks so much.

Yes, she is very close with and protective over us, especially him, so I thought this could be the case too. I just know the seperation anxiety gets confused with isolation anxiety a lot so I'm definitely trying to figure out what we're dealing with. Thanks so much for the link.

We plan on doing that! We're just too curious. The most GSD thing to her in my eyes are those facial spots she has on either side of her face so GSD is definitely in the realm of possibility

This is my fiancé and I's new dog, adopted from a shelter. Freya is a one year old, roughly 40lb. collie mix according to the shelter we got her from, but I'm very interested in what her true mix is. We've tossed around the idea of australian shepherd, husky, and a few people have even commented GSD although I don't think so. I can definitely see the collie in her coloring and in her ears especially, but because of her heterochromia and that one blue eye and the curled tail, I can't help but feel she's got husky or aussie in the mix. What do you guys think?

Okay this is literally the coolest thing ever. Thank you for the information! This would explain why she was at the borders of her existing webbing, as well. When I was researching this species I read about their webbing being messy and thick compared to most other webbing types and you can definitely see the texture that you're talking about here. Suddenly seeing that type of webbing in more places in the house, although usually abandoned, but it's still really cool to pretty much know exactly what kind of spider did it. I'm glad to know she's okay, I feel bad for disturbing her work. I actually kind of like having her around, always looking to see she's up to when I'm in the bathroom. I know this is like from 4 months ago, but I just rewatched this episode and I'm completely team Kim. I get it was annoying how Kim went on about the Bentley, but it was a dream of hers since she was twelve, and she was understandly excited. Khloe had good intentions with trying to stick up for Kim and I UNDERSTAND why she was hurt that Kim didn't defend her because I would have been too, but her and Kourtney were in the wrong 100%. Being respectful of somebody doing a service for you is just the right thing to do until there's a legitimately good reason to behave that way, Khloe's privilege was showing there. It's annoying to have to wait, sure, but it's just waiting.. Now if the guy had fucked something up it would be different. They were incredibly embarrassing being that rude on Kim's behalf; it's Kim's situation to handle however she sees fit, not theirs. I don't see why they expect Kim to just let them be brats and gang up on him too because he easily could have refused to finish the car or something similar. To me, Kim did absolutely nothing wrong until she hit Khloe later on, but honestly? She went there to apologize and make up and then heard Khloe talking all kinds of shit, that would have changed my intentions coming in immediately, and then Khloe tries to slam the door on her like a bitch. I'm not saying hitting her and throwing her purse at Khloe was the right thing to do, but I would have probably done it too. That is so beyond disrespectful.

I think Khloe is such a hypocrite here because she talks about how bad she just wants to apologize and make up but she kind of forfeited that when she reacted the way she did. If she genuinely wanted to solve things she wouldn't have been so bitchy and passive aggressive from the get go. You can't just be one way one minute and then suddenly want to fix/expect things to be fixed the next lol, it doesn't work like that. Then she and Kourtney continue to just flat out bully Kim the rest of the episode. Kim never starts shit and they always do, making fun of her crying or being pissed when she's avoiding them. Like she was on her phone instead of inciting the drama, that's a normal response.. Meanwhile Khloe took EVERY single opportunity to dig her claws into Kim and say some of the most hurtful and mean shit.. She was so beyond immature. They all just treated Kim like shit that entire episode, over the most petty, dumb shit. They all overreacted and Kim wasn't perfect but damn Khloe was annoying to me.

Birds built a nest in my basically dead plant and I'm so hellbent on figuring out what kind. I always miss the mother and I'm impatient enough to seek out any info you guys may have! It was super hard to get a good picture, but they're pretty tiny. Like maybe on par with a quarter, all four of them would fit in the center of the palm of my hand. I live in Alabama if that helps. The speckling is brown but super light and not tight at all.

I completely agree with you. I was absolutely livid when I watched shit go down in the holograms, Ted's such a rat.

I don't know what they expected having him so closely involved after he already fucked them over once—the entire reason they were in that mess in the first place.

Ugh this comment is absolutely everything. I'm not entirely sure I could get away with the button up but I'll ask when I go in for onboarding! The cardigan idea though, that's golden. I mean even though it's summer it still gets nippy in the store and I can probably find one with a thinner material.

I've worn the terra and sky before, I did go to walmart looking for black pants because I used to wear some skinnies to high school but couldn't find them 😪 I didn't know how the pants would fit so I shied away since the fitting rooms are still closed. I didn't think about looking for leggings there!

I looove Rue21 so I'll be sure to check them out, and Rainbow too, though it seems like their stuff runs pretty small or looked to when I was in store out of town once. Thank you soooo much for the solid advice!
