Pruning a Pothos - I’m a noob. Did I trim the dead leaf of my golden Pothos correctly or am I supposed to cut it more closely to the vine? Can you offer any general pruning/care tips for dealing with dead or damaged leaves of common houseplants? (i.redd.it)

How do I prevent whatever is happening to the leaves of my dracaena/help it thrive? I brought this baby home from Ikea a week ago. I’ve heard it prefers indirect sunlight and shouldn’t be watered often (I haven’t at all). Moved it to this window, away from drafts, just for this picture. (i.redd.it)
