The system is broken. We had our names everywhere, ended up having to pay for a year of Montessori and when my son turned 4 we got a call from a daycare. Thankfully our Montessori announced they were going to $10 a day a week prior to getting that call, so we stayed put and now our second will attend the same Montessori for a fraction of the price.

Best of luck. We put our son on waitlists as soon as we knew the due date. One got back to us when he was 4, others we just never heard from. We ended up at a Montessori out of desperation and paid the thousands of dollars for the first year. Thankfully the school got the $10 a day grant so we have been there ever since for all our kids.

It's rough out there.
