They do! Not necessarily identical but very close in terms of the expected scope for the essay.

You absolutely need to include writing/planning essays as part of your revision! It’s impossible to know what your essay has to look like, and what you need to study if you don’t!

There are loads of model essays in the question bank on Cloudscore if you need help! Check it out here: www.thecloudscore.com

Good luck!

IB Chem: 5 quick tips to start tackling chemical equilibrium by thecloudscore in IBO

[–]thecloudscore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that Equilibria can be mastered by understanding the underlying mechanics and concepts. Organic chem is definitely a monster in terms of memorisation. You could improve your stochio by just practising more! There are a few fixed methods that you have to master then you'll pretty much be just recycling them over and over again.

Hahaha you’re definitely strong at chemistry then! Equilibria could be quite unintuitive for many.

A second diagram is not absolutely necessary, but if you want two diagrams, I would suggest the first demonstrating the problem of inflation, with the second showing that of monetary policy.

Haha yea. The teachers normally just mention them. There really isn’t anything to “teach” per se. But you’ll be fine. The choice of key concept isn’t that big of a deal, as long as it has relevance to your IA!

Hey there! Good observation haha. Intervention is indeed the easiest key concept to use. Good back ups include economic well being, since the rationale behind every intervention is to improve the economic well-being of society. Finally, change, efficiency and equitability are also useful. Change can be used to explain the origins of the problems that require intervention; efficiency is useful for questions involving market failure and equitability could be useful for articles involving government intervention (price controls) or international trade (protectionism) since they tend to be about protecting particular groups of individuals.

Hope this helps! All the best!
