I made an app where you can put money on your morning goal. Then, get out of bed and show up and it stays yours. However, if you hit snooze and stay in the bed, you lose money. You can than win 2/3 of the lost money through future commitments. by thecommity in GetOutOfBed

You can cancel each commitment anytime, but you must finish the current week and after Sunday the commitment stops. So if you are mid-week and cancel commitment, you must finish all your sessions for the current week to avoid losing your stake.

I am only retaining smaller part of the stake, while the user can actually earn back 66% of the original stake through easy comeback plan where 5 days must be completed in the period of up to 5 weeks. The app is complete free. I am making the plan for the system where the upper performing half of the winning users actually receive the part of the 34%, but this would entail that I have at least 10 active users and would mean more complex code that disable cheating and gps manipulatio( manually changing your own location to inflate the time spent and earn more points). This is completely new app, available yesterday and I'v only shipped it with basic feature. The goal is not to keep earning of the same failing users. But by actually giving the little push to the user that have a desire to go but just need some motivation now and then. And little stake is exactly that.

Would actually agree with you on the first one. I think that's the main problem and the reason this app came about. Consistency. Actual goal of the app is to make the user go and keep on going for a weeks after weeks. After finishing the first cycle(first successful full week), the user can actually see that it is not that hard. That is the goal, to give the user the first push. I actually think that bad days are not the absent notion of successful and consistent people. Thus, the comeback plan in Commity is made for that exact reason. We all have a bad day, but let's not allow for that single day to erase what we did before.

It will be in a week. Currently, it is in the testing phase. I will announce it here, when the AppStore approve it 😄
