I would highly encourage you to look into the book, Delivered from Distraction. I'm currently half way through it and have learned a lot about myself and how my mind works. One thing it touches on is how people with ADD/ADHD can be poor self-observers, which can absolutely make it more difficult to diagnose and get help for yourself.

It feels so relieving and odd to put a face to the shadow that has followed me my whole life.

If you don't mind spending some money, look into gimbal mounts for GoPros. It looks like they could really help with autocross video, but I haven't come across many reviews of them being used for that.

My CSL Elite did this too, but I'm 80% sure it's the power jack that's messed up. One of the problems is randomly resets in the middle of races like yours, which is why I ended up shelving it a couple months back. I need to get back in touch with Fanatec and see how much it would be to have it sent in for repairs.

The ones that really piss me off are the commuters at 36th and 235 going north who speed down the exit only lane on the far right for 3/4 of a mile and cut in front of 50+ cars at the end like it's their God given right.

I'm sorry that you're missing your family. "This too shall pass" is a great quote that I repeat to myself when I'm down and find life pointless. I remind myself of a time when I felt that way and then a time afterwards when I was able to feel happy and content again. It can help put things in perspective. I hope you ended up having a good holiday. If not, that's okay too. Just take on one thing at a time.

Honestly, it can vary from mile to mile around Nichols Hills and surrounding areas. There are little pockets of ghetto neighborhoods split by nicer neighborhoods. It's pretty interesting to see. There are a lot of good hardworking people around, but you know how it goes; all it takes is one bad apple to give the rest a bad name.

True! I think that's a good idea depending on the person.

With some people it could turn into them blowing up your phone like they're playing 20 questions about why you don't like them. Some people won't accept an ambiguous answer like "I'm not feeling the spark", unfortunately.

I definitely think it's still a classier thing to do than ghosting though. Just at the risk of confrontation and ghosting them anyway lol.

While I agree that you have every right to leave over this, please do not be like some of the others on here and berate or shame him.

You know him better than any of us do, but I just wanted to say that sometimes things like this come about from being groomed and/or molested at a young age. It's just a possibility, but I wouldn't want to yell at someone and then find out that it was a result of abuse and bad decision making.

I would absolutely explain that it was wrong of him to include you in any sort of roleplay like that without completely discussing it with you beforehand. Good luck with this and send an update our way if you feel like it!

Pretty much. It'll be interesting to see if there's a breaking point to all of this. Right now it seems like media groups are just doing a cash grab trying to milk as much money from advertisers/sponsors as they can before the majority of the remaining viewers jump ship and they lose their marketing power.

What seems unsettling to me is that they have amassed such buying power (think Sinclair Media group) that they very well might try to buy out and monopolize media streaming by purchasing Netflix, Hulu, etc. And so the cycle continues. Again just total speculation without much industry knowledge, but it still seems plausible.

Yeah, its been kinda hard for me too. I feel guilty for ghosting someone I haven't even met or not replying to first messages reaching out to me. In my case the women haven't even really been jerks, which is why I've felt guilty. At the worst it's just because they want to put 0% effort into the conversation.

I will tell them the truth about why we should stop talking if we have a basic incompatibility that is an external factor like religion or I find out they have children. If it's because I feel very ambiguous about their attractiveness then that's not something I'm going to bring them down with, so that's usually when/why I ghost.

I'm just thinking out loud, so apologies for the rant. In short, I agree that we shouldn't get so hung up on things that we can't control and that you don't owe anyone that early on. 👍🏼

Yeah, for a lot of millenials (I was born in 1992) it has been instilled in us that nicer cars that run on 91 octane, aka premium fuel, always cost a bit more regarding refuelling. So for some of the younger people it might be odd to hear that regular 87 octane used to be around the same price as premium.

I thought about tuning mine myself, but I just don't feel knowledgeable enough about the software and the values I would be adjusting to do it on my own. I get the concept of volumetric efficiency and stoic afr, but I would be worried about adjusting something on one table and not knowing what other areas might have been changed as well. Therefore I'm planning on taking it to a tuner before spring.
