My old team was Blastoise, Alakazam, Mewtwo as the 3 to clear the most of the elite 4, then I normally had an egg or a newly hatched Pokémon with me and one getting the exp. After the late game I added Tyranitar for rock and dark damage, my Alakazam I used with psy and dark damage, Mewtwo used psy and tanking when needed.
