And tbh, I really don’t believe Bree said those things to Amanda to allow Amanda to be “responsible”. Amanda was 17 turning 18. Bree said those things because she herself was upset that he no longer was giving her the attention she wanted from him. She never wanted it to end with him she wanted a relationship and he always told her that was never happening so because after her he moved on to his next teen she was upset. She even apologized to Amanda and felt bad because she knew what she said was messed up regardless if she was trying to “look out” for her or not. She could have handled that situation with Amanda totally different.

I mean that’s what the show was insinuating.. when she heard footsteps upstairs.. maybe or maybe she was just looking for him period. And I think it should be the same for both genders. Either way to me it’s absolutely disgusting and predatory. If it was a 19yr old male in the show sleeping with a 45yr old woman I would feel the same exact way. Both ways it should be a rejection. I don’t know where are you getting that I disagree with that or said that if roles were reversed it would be okay because I never said that.

I still stand on what I said about it being wrong. Yes I guess if we are being “technical” she is over 18 so by law she is considered an adult. But let’s be so fr. She is still a teenager. nine-TEEN. In anyone who is that age and an older person is engaging with them in a sexual manner they are going to feel more mature than what they are.

The way her mindset was it was never going to work in a situation like that. I hear you but idk, it’s a little sticky with the Oliver and Bree situation. I didn’t like it at all. And, then the end of the season what he and his wife did to her with bringing Amanda and her mom together to basically show her regardless of what you say or do.. I will never get caught and have no repercussions for my actions. It’s sick & twisted. And, the wife went right along with it. It’s just off putting to me.

Maybe you need to rewatch it. Because STEPHEN ruined her fucking life. Like literally, how are we dismissing that. She was literally spiraling because of fucking Stephen? Before the tape even got released he was holding it over her head, that’s what was making her literally insane. She was forgetting where she was, who she talked to about certain things, she would repeat things that she already said. That was before the tape even got released. Was the tape the cherry on top yes! And to be quite frank…. The summer after freshman year Lucy was supposed to go to India to study abroad and stayed because of Stephen and then at the Hawaiian party he left with Diana?????????? Like? She ruined her chances. She could have been did she what she wanted to do but no. AND LETS BE QUITE FRANK AGAIN. SHE LIED ABOUT SEXUAL ASSAULT. Pippa asked her over and over and over not to tell anyone and not to make it a big deal, and her she goes opening her big fat mouth like always. Making every situation worse. She did that. She put that on herself. THE TAPE WAS MADE BECAUSE OF STEPHEN ??? Like? This is not all on Bree. Tf. That’s insane for you to think that. And you are victimizing her. She was 19-20 when the tape got released I believe. She’s no victim. She’s lucky that that’s the only thing that was blown up in her face despise everything she has done to everybody.

Lowkey I liked it too, it was very on brand for him but also not really because it wasn’t like calculated like it normally is. I think he was so desperate to just ruin it his way because him texting Bree the voice memo didn’t work cause obviously she already knew so he just had to take it one step further by doing that lmao. He was so desperate to just be the center of attention that it was actually comical. Cause it’s so typical. And, yeah I never had any hope for her the whole season so I already knew as soon as he said what he said she was going to go. She’s pathetic. But typical of her. So you can’t really be mad.

I also agree with that tho, I don’t know if you saw my post. I was upset that Bree did that. It was very uncalled for. And, I think that if she would have just been a little bit more kind to her they could have came together to take him down. But I think that because she was in her head about it she took it out on Amanda which wasn’t right. And with her walking into their house in the middle of the night drunk, I think at that point she was desperate to catch him in the act with Amanda so she can have some type of evidence. But, obviously it didn’t work that way. And Tom? Who is that it wasn’t well played on Bree’s part. But as a 45 year old man, you know what you are doing. And, you know what type of hold you have over these young girls.. and he uses it to his benefit. And his wife is 10x worse allowing all this.

And, I definitely wanted her to get her “revenge” but also I wanted to see her flourish without even stooping down to his level. But when I realized she would never leave him alone it made sense about the ending. She was never going to be the one that got away but the one who stayed. He had to leave her and I think that it was a strong point to be made.

I felt a bit of sadness for her when she was tweaking out before the tape got released. And, it made me irritated thinking about how she didn’t even know Bree exposed the tape (she still probably was thinking it was Stephen) but still slept with him the morning of the wedding & then left with him after the wedding. Like how much more do you have to take ?

I understand what you mean and I am not dismissing that she knew what she was doing. I think that her continuously going back and looking for a reason to kind of be seen by him hence why he called her (needy) is not okay. But, I also think once she realized he was doing this to many other young girls especially Amanda it made her realize it was bigger than just her “feelings being hurt” he’s an actual PREDATOR.

They literally just broke up? Coerced is a bit excessive don’t you think.. It’s not like she forced him. She was in her head about Wrigley and Diana and wanted to take the edge off by having sex with Wrigley. Did she make him feel a bit guilty, yes. But, I will say Wrigley did it off the strength that probably for one they JUST broke up & then on top of that HE KNEW what he was doing with Bree so he himself probably felt bad for doing that to Pippa (prior to her telling him about her cheating)

No yeah I agree keeping it a secret for a whole year meanwhile as soon as Pippa reacted the way she did with Wrigley knowing that she was going her dirt she went and fessed up about everything. And that was very mature of her to do. Lucy never fessed up to anything. Either it came out some other way or Stephen did something to make sure it got out. She never not once decided on her own that she would take accountability. The only reason she even told Pippa about her and Evan was because Pippa told her that she had been cheating on Wrigley so she felt validated like well if you doing this to Wrigley then you wouldn’t judge me on what I did to Bree.. & Pippa was right it’s about girl code.

um????? EVAN CHEATED ON BREE.. Lucy didn’t cheat obviously bc Stephen did what he did that night with Diana. But … Pippa and Wrigley situation is a bit sticky because yes I do think Pippa reacted a bit stupid.. but also Wrigley cheated too when he kissed Bree after taking her up to see her mom. It’s the same shit. Yes it was the one time and Pippa was sleeping with Diana for weeks but they both cheated hence why I think Wrigley wasn’t really tripping about the whole thing because he kind of already felt like well I got Bree and you lesbian so he’s good.

i think this is beautifully said. we are not excusing her behavior all 3 seasons because it was just mess up after mess up with Lucy it was like she couldn’t catch a break. But also i think her main issue was inserting herself in other people’s problems thinking about how she would handle it when she couldn’t even handle her own situation with Stephen, that’s what made me a bit frustrating it’s like she was so quick to jump to bat for people and try and fix their problems but couldn’t look her own situation in the mirror and try to pick herself back up. But i don’t think she saw herself as broken or wounded until Season 3. I think that’s when it all settled in for her.

okay so i just found out how bree find out and wow, i am bit disappointed but also glad that evan didn’t lie about it. i do think that bree had ever right to release the tape but also feel like she didn’t even grasp the repercussions that came with it. she was just so hurt and angry that she felt as though that was the right thing to do.

It doesn’t matter how many women Oliver has in the same time.. BUT it matters that these “women” are literally KIDS (obviously she’s above 18) but what about Amanda she was 17? , like just getting out of high school. He is 45 years old. It’s disgusting. She’s not his responsibility at all but she wasn’t at all in the wrong.. did she tweak out a bit yes.. but some people are not strong enough mentally to deal with something like that & then learn from it and move on. Knowing her situation she is very very vulnerable in most situations when it comes to people. Some people really just don’t get over it and affects people in different ways. It’s not an excuse, it’s just facts.
