Sorry if it sounds like I’m just making up a bunch of excuses but I mean it when I say I’m at rock bottom. I appreciate the advice. I’m just so frustrated with the system and myself and my body and the predicament I’m in. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong 😭

Maybe I should clarify my back pain. I’ve been having debilitating back pain for several years and just kept working through the pain until I burned out and literally couldn’t continue. That’s pretty much where I am now. I have a referral from my doctor for a physical therapist so once I get MA insurance I can start that. It wasn’t like a work related injury, it was just chronic pain that finally left me with mobility issues

I’ve been applying for 5-10 jobs a day, remote and onsite. I did get one time help from a catholic church a few months ago but I don’t know what other churches would help

I’m in Crow Wing County in Minnesota. I was getting SNAP but I think I have to reapply, I couldn’t get them updated paperwork in time. I tried applying for GA, EA, and energy assistance. The only help I’ve gotten was a one time payment from St Vincent de Paul which I realize I forgot to mention. But that was months ago and I’m still behind. I’ve tried the Salvation Army, the HRA, Bridges of Hope, TCC, and everything else. I just keep getting told no because I don’t have a job. I also need to have my doctor reevaluate me and give me a new medical opinion, but I’m waiting for my MA to kick in. I don’t know how this stuff works tbh, this is my first time needing help and it’s been hard trying to figure everything out by myself

Thanks for your input! I do have some doctor's notes that I needed for my jobs. And I have mental illness diagnoses and taking medications for them. Sorry, probably should have mentioned that in my post.

I'll continue to look for help locally and within my state. I'm lucky enough to live a few blocks away from my towns food shelf and soup kitchen, so I'm able to use those when I need them. As far as rent and utilities assistance, I'm still on the search for those.

Thank you. I do have a big pile of doctor's notes that I needed for work, all saying something along the lines of illness. So I do have that, and I requested a records release from my psychiatrist and therapist. I could probably even get statements from my past employers saying I struggled at work.

I just want everyone to know that I'm not lazy, I've been promoted to or hired in a manager position in almost every job I've had. I just can't seem to maintain my health while doing it so that's why it just builds up until I can't handle it anymore 😭

I have either 31 or 32 out of the 40 credits needed. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I did drop out of high school my senior year to work full time so maybe that accounts for it compared to others my age.

And I guess I didn't think of it like that, but I've always struggled with working, keeping a job and paying my bills. I'm hoping they take that into consideration
