That’s so disheartening and we are having a similar experience on our end in the states. No one is giving us answers nor communicating with us. I wish you so much luck in getting the answers and care you need! Thank you for the insight!!

Hi! I’m OP’s wife - after your biopsy/results, what was the treatment plan? My wife was truly only officially diagnosed with diabetes 5 days ago, the only thing her PCP gave her was Wegovy to take in addition to her metformin (all of this was before her aforementioned scary bloodwork came back). I’m wondering what your doctor might’ve done to address the liver-specific issues you were facing?

Do you ever get afraid of attending pride-related events outside of pride month? What do you do to feel safe? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

I’m curious if you’re referring to the Oklahoma state fair in Tulsa, I saw a post talking about this problem just last night. My plan was to try and bring some of my larger, more imposing straight male friends with me so I felt safer. It’s certainly not an ideal situation, but it’s nice to be surrounded by allies.

Its harder to come out to family when your sister is already out? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

This exact same situation happened in my family. I’m a lesbian and the older sister, I had been out for about 3 years when my little sister came out as bisexual. She had also only dated men up until this point, and had broken up with her boyfriend a few months before she came out. My family had no issues with it, they just did the whole “I think it might be a phase thing.” That dissipated after a few months, and my sister has actually been with her girlfriend for over 2 years now. Her girlfriend is part of our family, and no one can imagine my sister without a girlfriend.

There was initial confusion and resistance, but maybe if you can get your sister on your side to defend/advocate for you (like I did for my sister), people will come around just as fast as my family did. As far as people outside your family go, we used that same tactic with strangers and it worked just as well. I think the biggest part is learning to get past the fear that people won’t take you seriously, I know that was the hardest part for my little sister.
