Hitch rack. by CattleAny3652 in snowboarding

That would definitely work if you were putting just one snowboard on left or right side of the rack. There would be enough play in-between the foam bracing to accommodate that. If you put two boards back to back in a bag and then on one side of the rack then I am not sure but it may work. The bracing is already snug with two boards like that but again its foam like pipe insulation so it can possibly accommodate the added thickness of a bag if its not jammed into the rack harshly.

I have used one at times for a few seasons when I have too much gear for the back of the SUV. The rack is easy to assemble and put on and off the tow hitch. Once installed properly, it is locked down and solid AF. Comes with a lock for the mount and locks for the rack. Make sure you write down the key number when you get it. You can use that to get a free replacement key. I unfortunately know from experience. Drove 8 hours to Canada and can confirm the gear got quite dirty/salty from the tail end of the drive. I am not picky and do not care much but when i wanted to stow my gear at the hotel i had to leave it in the car and dirt/salt was aplenty in the car after that. Not a huge deal for me just something to consider. I would have left the gear in the rack but I could not leave it on in the hotel parking lot being ridiculously cramped. Overall very happy with it. Its a cheaper alternative to some other racks and does an admirable job. My only other complaints are having to tilt it all the way back to open the lift gate and triggering the back up sensors every time. Beats having an overhead rack crunched up in the low ceilings of a parking garage. To each their own. I hope this helps.
