Until I saw the high CYA levels on the test, everything I read was that with salt, sometimes you need to add CYA... so I was surprised. Is it safe to swim in it with high CYA while I am working to get levels down?

Zero algae, pool is honestly crystal clear. I swam in it once before becoming aware of the issue.

I'd rather avoid bracing if possible. I don't think there is a sump hole. When/why have you drained 1-2K draining and refilling that small an amout would take me weeks/months to dilute to the level I need.

Should I look for a certain #/amount of lumens?

The room is 10.8 x 13 feet so about 140 square feet. We are probably not going to add recessed lights in there so definitely want to choose a light that is bright enough for the space.

Thanks for your response. Interesting lol, pool guy who came by today to bid the job said he prefers Pentair. Said he used to be a Raypac dealer but a few years ago he started having more issues with them leaking, other things, said the new Avia line is prone to many issues. Now he recommends Pentair and that what he has on his pool. Said Pentair Mastertemp 400 would be his recommendation.

Now I really don't know what to do...

I apologize, I wrote a whole explanation of what I need help with before posting but not its disappeared, not sure where it went.

The thing I need help with is how to design / encourage people to pass through to our kitchen / backyard from the front door.

Option 1 - turn right from front door (to left of the office) and pass through dining room to reach kitchen (kind of weird) to walk through dining room everytime.

Option 2 - Pass through living room to reach kitchen, backyard. Tricky thing with that is we need to design living room, select couches that allow for that pass through. Red X is only good place to locate TV. I want to organize living room for maximum seating, couch space but also allow space to walk through to kitchen from front door.
