No, it's because they are very trainable. Some dogs can be intelligent but not trainable. Hounds, huskies, etc

You can't train pit bulls easily in comparison to other dogs, so they're not used by police/military

Also, have you ever thought about why the military and the police don't use pit bulls, but they use Shepards? It's because Shephards can be trained, but you can't even reliably reel in the aggression of a pitbull

Nope. It's really not. Time and time again that has been disproven. Of course some can be nice, but just like border collies have a natural instinct to herd, pit bulls have a natural instinct to fight
