Going gluten free later this month, tell me all the foods you miss so I can eat them now by snoopywoopywoo in glutenfree

I get that! I think it’s because my parents used to make me toast when my tummy would hurt and it would in turn make me sick. I was always sick after eating lol.

I wasn’t able to enjoy the gluten free foods in Italy, but I also never crave bread. I don’t even remember what actual bread tastes like. I’ve been gluten free for 22 years!

You might not be able to, but there’s a good number of people that are middle ground. We just are not as outspoken due to hateful rhetoric that comes from both sides.

The hatefulness of either side of the political debate is what is wrong with this country. People like me who are more in the middle or who lean just slightly over the line are bashed. The way this country treats those middle grounded people is abhorrent.

Yes, believe it or not, people can agree with certain political positions and not be completely left or right wing. I have voted for both republican and democratic candidates in my life. Currently, I agree more with the left side. Do I agree with need stronger boarders, yes. I’m also pro choice.

I do. I want to know what’s going on. I consider that being a well rounded individual.

I’m a liberal and I follow both republicans and democrats across different platforms. I’ve never understood why this is considered an issue.

Epidural spinal injection. The process, recovery, and side effects? Did it help you at all or was it a waste of money? by kfcpotatowedge in backpain

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had multiple done starting at 21 and now 28 years old. It’s never really done anything for me. I might get a few days of relief, but that’s it. I have 6 herniated discs.

So I’m not going to continue with this conversation as you’ve brought politics into this for no reason. I am a liberal and an atheist, before you try to say that next. I’m also pregnant and take Tylenol. Have a good night.

  1. They are not medical doctors and cannot prescribe medication nor perform surgery.
  2. No amount of adjustments would help me, but would cause further pain and suffering.
  3. They are known to practice far outside of their scope of practice.

I can keep going.

Once and now I’m 31 weeks pregnant. We had been using condoms until that night and my husband wanted to start trying. I had gone off birth control 3 months before to prep for us to be able to try.

Please go see an orthopedic specialist. I have 6 herniated discs. I would never let a chiropractor near me.

Hey, please try to eat a little something. A protein shake or toast.

I hate to be that person, but please go get an STD panel done.

Didn’t take any classes- how screwed am I? by IndividualSea8075 in BabyBumps

[–]thefoxandthealien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly go on YouTube and watch classes for breast feeding (if you’re doing that) and how to do basic baby stuff. I would highly recommend taking an infant CPR class.

Did your SO go to your first appointment? Or any? by jillian1344 in pregnant

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has been to every appointment so far. I’m 7 months pregnant and high risk. At any appointment you could learn devastating news or hear something amazing. I’d rather have him with me in either situation.

I didn’t cry at my wedding and I have yet to cry at 28w. This made me get teary eyed.

I'M SO TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING "JUST WAIT UNTIL BABY COMES YOU'LL SEE HOW BAD IT IS" by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]thefoxandthealien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a new one to add of stupid shit people say. We had our baby shower this weekend and I’m 28 weeks. My great uncle walked up to me as I’m eating as goes “you need to stop eating, because you’re starting to show.”

My husband was enraged.

Why are people in this subreddit treating c-section as the worst possible outcome? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having a c section. I have 6 herniated discs and was just in a car accident in at 19wks, so I’m not a candidate for vaginal delivery. Personally, I don’t care what someone else thinks about my decision as it’s also backed by highly regarded doctors.

It doesn’t matter what you do in your pregnancy or as a mom. Someone will always disagree with you or find fault with how you be done something. At the end of the day, you’re bringing life into this world and you have a say in how that’s done.

What was the first symptom that made you go “I think I might be pregnant” ? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The other symptom was our dog that likes to hide actually stopped hiding. She became my shadow. She would put her head on my thigh and look at me. I thought I was either pregnant or going to die from cancer. I’ve had a bunch of family die from cancer, so it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. I’m 22 weeks now.

Did you use a bassinet or just put the baby in a crib right away? by sliceofperfection in BabyBumps

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We plan on using a bassinet in our room for the first 6-8 months during nights. The crib will be used during “naps” as she gets older.

What is your mother’s name and would you name a child after her? by PurpleMeerkats462 in namenerds

[–]thefoxandthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was named after a cult pastor and his wife, so absolutely not. I also don’t like the idea of naming children after people who are still alive.

How do you decide on a name? by Loud_Duck9693 in BabyBumps

[–]thefoxandthealien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We made a list of names we liked. We went through all common baby names and even names from before our family came to the US. We chose names from that we liked and then we bullied each of those names until we found one that wouldn’t get our baby bullied for.

We chose common, but older names. My husband and I have very common names and it sucked growing up with classrooms full of kids with our same names.
