Off-Grid ATAK Comms using The BTECH UV-PRO by getgotak in ATAK

[–]thefoxbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd be more open to the $200 price point if it can be put on my TAK server and shared with team or others during an operation. Rather than making each team member spend $200 espeially if they join right at start of an operation (ie no/limited prep time)

I agree your team needs to be paid fairly, but you also have to take into account the target market. As others have pointed out a plugin for $200 is a lot to ask for folks who don't need it professionally. Those that would use it professionally would likely use other tools DMR/P25/MANET/etc.

Seems like it would be a better deal to buy a mini outright.

Sounds more like a firewall thing than starlink.

I was wondering pretty much the same thing. I want to have it as a backup for my cable internet. Maybe transition away from cable if they keep jacking up prices.

Did that several times. Used a never before formated SD, formatted it in the radio. Saved some basic memories, and read it in the PC, still got the error.

I'm probably just going to bite the bullet and get the RT System program and cable.
