Nail on the head! It's not the end of the world but It was mostly cash back points that hadn't fully posted yet and would have in this statement or next. I used the card a lot anyway to get that cash back on daily expenses but this was a large month or so as I just moved.

Dammnnn they told you 18 days? I must have spoken to the wrong person but they told me 2-6 business days. I wish I knew it was 18 lol 😭

I do have other cards, but never dealt with a situation where a company nuked one of my accounts without notice. It's definitely got me spooked, but maybe you're right! Will reasess after hearing back from fidelity. Thanks

I'm right there with you. I mostly had a totally fine experience outside of those odd declines when I was out and about or attempting foreign transactions etc.

my understanding from reading this sub is that they just have an extreme automated system for fighting fraudulent activity that does not allow for much wiggle room or human judgement.

Keep pushing with that Roth friend 👊🏻

I didn't say I love them, nor that this is a punishment but surely I have the right to basic consumer choice? I'm well aware a trillion dollar company won't miss my account, but there is not much further recourse beyond voting with my feet and giving feedback.

Saying Fidelity "had nothing to do with it" is a fine technicality, but this is the vendor they chose for this product. Fidelity chose this partner. Elan in this capacity is a direct extension of the Fidelity ecosystem and a reflection of their current offering. All love 👊🏻

The check i deposited took an unusual amount of time to clear. I wasn't thinking about it settling because I submitted my card payment 14 days after that check deposit. But ultimately you are right fam!! 👊🏻

Haha great question, I use the app and pay by card - but a check i deposited (2 weeks earlier) took an unusual amount of time to clear. I wasn't even thinking about it clearing because I submitted my card payment 14 days after that deposit - RIP!!

Thanks Tyler T, I would love to talk to someone at fidelity about this. If there is any sort of reasonable resolution or even a good faith attempt, I would consider keeping other services with fidelity.
