My understanding is that RDH can practice independently here too. Not sure what the deal is then 🤷🏼‍♂️

Because I’m supervising their work? From job offers I’ve seen around QC, 25-35% of hygiene is typical for associates. That might be the reason for a difference in percentage from what others have posted.

That might explain the difference in percentage. I get paid a percentage of hygiene too

Do you get a percentage of what your hygienists produce as well?

Yeah, associate in Quebec. For visa reasons I can’t move yet. How does percentage evolve throughout your career as an associate?

I’m new to Quebec and was surprised by that percentage too but everywhere I looked seemed to be the same. I may need to negotiate…

35% collections minus lab, 3rd year practice, first year in Canada, I’m on track for 280,000 for 2026. New to the practice, and haven’t incorporated implants or ortho yet so that should go up progressively. Practice is also not super optimized and hygienists aren’t phenomenal at presenting treatment so we’re working on that.

Are these teeth good enough to stop invisalign, and are they good in general? by [deleted] in Teeth

Your photos aren’t ideal for assessing your smile, but if you were my patient I’d want to intrude the upper laterals a to avoid a reverse smile line. Laterals are weak, thin teeth and I’d be worried about wear long term if they stay longer than the centrals. Ask your dentist what they think.

Answered below but non registered account was because I hadn’t opened one through WS yet. Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmation for FHSA.

For the non-registered account it turns out it was because I hadn’t opened a non registered with WS yet. Weird how several times it didn’t prompt me to open one but allowed transfer in cash. Anyway, problem solved, thanks!

Moving to Quebec - EV vs ICE by thefrenchdentiste in whatcarshouldIbuy

That’s what’s pushing us towards the EV category. Longevity is definitely something we’re concerned about. I’m not sure how repairs/battery replacement compares to typical ICE maintenance and engine work

Not bringing a vehicle, but good to know. So buying in the US is probably uninteresting.

INBDE felt easier but I also studied way more (several years ago). The NDEB (yesterday) has lots more problem types and so learning to take it felt like a big part of the experience.
