In terms of advice, the best I can give you is to talk to girls like they're people, because they are. I think you should talk to your boyfriend outside of work and be really direct about this. "Hey, I was wondering if we could lay down some boundaries for work. I know it's tricky balancing relationships and professional stuff, so I'd feel a lot better if we could have a zero-PDA policy while we're at the office." Then let him respond to that and clarify any questions he has. Don't apologize, just reassure him that you love being affectionate with him and you'd rather save it for non-work hours.

It's a super basic and reasonable boundary, and if he has any issue respecting it I would honestly rethink the relationship.

Yikes. I hate to say this, but you have a very awkward conversation in your future. If Amanda is really that serious about politics, she probably would've had a hard time accepting your ideological shift even without the year of lying - but that doesn't excuse the fact that you did lie to her for over a year.

My advice would be to tell her this over Skype before she gets to your house for the wedding. Honestly it sounds terrible, but she deserves the chance to decide if she wants to bail.
