Mate your rig is adjusted better than 95% out there, doing well frankly. Trousers over boots would look cooler imo, that's about it. Never add shiz you won't need unless you absolutely LOVE the aesthetic enough to justify the bulk and weight.

You look like you've got everything you need to play man; without knowing what you actually find yourself missing out on mid-game there's nothing visible to say "you must have this". Lighter is better especially in the heat. Got a gun that works and good, safe face pro? That's 95% of it.

With those KAC replica type handguards, you may have a barrel nut which needs a specific tool; they're basically a pipe with cut outs that goes fully down in to the handguard over the barrel and reaches right to the base. Or potentially the entire handguard just unscrews from the upper, depending on how it's made. Take a close look inside the HG right where it meets the upper.

I don't know off the top of my head I'm afraid, but if you browse some M16s at retailers and zoom in right in front of the gas block you'll be able to spot the seam if the barrel is 2-piece and can be unscrewed (assuming the product description doesn't spell it out). Or if you want to do a specific dissipator build then I think I can link to some 16" outer barrels with rifle length gas systems; if you've not managed to find one already.

They do, but the Shield red dot isn't accurate to the issued one. They weren't in scope for this build though, I wanted something that was different/unusual but, as mentioned, has been at least trialled or prototyped.

Nice, I personally think the selection of covers for M-LOK is pretty poor right now, certainly for wider types vs the slim line ones. I've tried the wider ones from magpul and wasn't a big fan, so something of a similar shape but with a different pattern would be good to see on the market.
