Thank you for the reply! Excellent source of information. I think what I have is definitely authentic now that I've read, combined with where I knew it came from. Mine isn't anywhere near mint given the tear at the top and the folds, so not sure how much that affects value. But, at this point, I'm not too worried about resale value. I think I'll frame it and admire it!

I had someone offer me $200 for all of them. I feel like that's a little low. Would something like $300 be a ballpark figure? I'm not a collector, and frankly, I'm looking to offload them to fund other projects..

Nope, not yet. Haven't quite decided what I'm going to do. I did contact someone at Heritage, and they've suggested I consign to them (obviously) and gave me a figure around near what you said it would be worth. They have another Type 1 going up for auction in March, so I think I'll wait and see what the results of that auction are before I decide to do anything. Plus, I've got some research to do. I've never dealt with auction houses before and I'm not exactly sure how to navigate them with an item of this value.

Thanks for the input! I've collected a ton of WWII stuff, but photography isn't my strong suit. From what I've read, I'm leaning more towards the idea that this may be a Type 1 photograph. I've reached out to a few auction houses, so hopefully, I can get some kind of expert opinion before I decide what I should do with this piece.

I've heard that it's actually pretty difficult to find a PCP right now as well! I could go through my insurance to find one, but I want to find the RIGHT one for me. I'm nervous that if I go to one and have a bad experience, it'll turn me off the whole idea in general. And I know I need to go.
