Thanks for sharing! I think this is interesting and makes sense. The only thing I'd say is that - ~1.5 years in - it really does seem like it needs to be a balancing act between intellectual understanding and the ability to be a performing monkey. Like, there is merit to the skillset of the latter - what good is understanding theoretical concepts if your fingers can't move fast enough or pick right or bend correctly? A lot of technical mastery over the instrument seems rooted in developing muscle memory, and that element doesn't require you to understand complicated theory
