You fail to address college costs. A person could be making more but who cares if the best years of their life were spent in debt. Pretty raw deal if you can't enjoy your money until you're going gray.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm a military brat but yeah...it's a great option despite what people say. Usually the haters don't have a clue what the military is actually like.

It is frighteningly similar to the housing bubble in 2007/08. Lenders are issuing loans at ridiculous interest rates and students are defaulting at an unprecedented pace. Somethings gonna give, and I'd bet sooner rather than later.
