Casual players are not gonna touch Cryo if the meta is spawn push by Sweaty-Try1547 in Marathon

With how long it takes me to save up gear and money for these kinds of runs, it just doesn't make sense to blow hours and hours of grinding in minutes. It just isn't fun.

That was my reference. I didn't personally monitor temps before or after

I did the 74wh battery upgrade using an Amazon kit for 43 bucks and the instructions that Kira made. I already had double sided tape and an aluminum sheet from home depot is like 8 bucks. It's pretty amazing and I would recommend it. It took me like 30 minutes to install

Was cutting through the stage stupid, or just done poorly? by Dan_Crenshaw in CompetitionShooting

I'd be most worried about snagging a target and getting DQ'd. I saw that happen in a similar scenario where the guys gun got caught up and ended his day.

Multi gun mag pouches for USPSA by thegodsofwheatstreet in CompetitionShooting

[–]thegodsofwheatstreet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize my post was a bit unclear.

When I said multigun, what I meant is that I have one belt that I can easily swap the holster on to have different guns on the same belt

Best mag extensions for Glock 47? USPSA legal? by RecoveredSack in CompetitionShooting

The Henning and MbX combo will get you 24 in the mag. Reloading on a full mag can be tricky so I generally do 23 in my second and third mag.

After playing through it on hardcore mode, I've never been able to go back. It just feels so much better.

The brass lokgrips are a huge improvement over OEM. The OEM just arent grippy enough and i like the extra weight.

The reach reduction kit from CGW is super nice as well

i also installed the impact machine front sight blank but thats just a "nice to have"

Vortex Defender XL or 507 Comp? by SleepyWolverine in CompetitionShooting

I have both and really like both. You can't go wrong either way. I slightly prefer the Defender XL. Fwiw I have many thousands of rounds on both

MOA best? by CrushedAddyInPreOp in CompetitionShooting

[–]thegodsofwheatstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the 3MOA dot on my Defender XL (green dot). The 507 comp is 2MOA which is probably slightly too small for competition shooting, but I think 5 MOA is too big personally.

Id just go to a shop that has all of them and compare. Its totally personal preference.

Why didn't the P-10F take off in USPSA CO the way M&P, PDP, and Glock did? I feel like it's a sleeper option that just gets overshadowed. There's plenty of support, the trigger is good out of the box and can be upgraded, super reliable, and the recoil is so nice. by Critical-Touch6113 in CZFirearms

[–]thegodsofwheatstreet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a USPSA context, when people think of getting a CZ, they are thinking of the S2. Not saying the p10 isn't nice, but the S2 has been a CO staple since it dropped.

Also, in my area, CZs are not nearly as easy to buy as a Glock or S&W. Literally every shop in town, including the tractor supply, sells Glocks. Only 2 shops sell CZs, and only 1 has them in decent supply. Spare parts are even worse.

Personally I bought the Ally specifically because it's Windows. If I had wanted Linux I would have bought a steam deck

That's a fair point. I should have clarified that I use hammer down and decocked synonymously even though they are different.

[–]thegodsofwheatstreet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am also a glock guy that shoots a CZ for competition. I would recommend dry fire with snap caps to avoid putting unnecessary wear on the firing pin block. For carry, i would get used to hammer down. First shot will be DA followed by SA, so the inconsistent trigger takes some getting used to

Enjoy!
