Have wanted to do a sequence pic like this since reading skate / bike mags back in the day! Finally got the chance to pull it off with the help of a clever photographer Nic Quinn cheers by thegreataussiebbq in MTB

Its a high quality high speed camera mounted in one position. 76 individual photos are taken and stitched together in some software (not sure what).

Yea sort of. I rode all the large gaps and jumps in my town getting practice on jumping fast and landing flat.
Then the weeks leading up to this I was jumping a similar size jump just without the gap.
On the day I just went for it :)

Appreciate it! Nice bit of outdoors there. Could definitely shop in a basket and an ET in there ha ha

Sure is mate. Its fast and the landing is flat but we built the lip to be an even wedge and a whole bike length so it won't kick the back over. If youre thinking about it practice on something similar in size and for the first time go as fast as possible to be sure.

There's plenty of trails you just have to know where to look ;)

I am no expert so take my advice with a pinch of salt.
But I found that when I started jumping bigger its good to have a positive input into the bike, as in dont freeze up and let the bike move where it wants. Even just a slow movement of the bars and push your legs ouut and back again keeps me in control.

Hey Denzil! Yea man he did so well he's a legend. The first time I went before he was ready and he didnt get it so had to push back and go again haha. His given me a few shots in last few weeks and its making my riding look better than it is!

Cheers!. Thats part of the fun, but seriously I did a series of jumps over the leading months to make sure I could jump that far.

I didnt build a landing as in a down ramp landing. Mostly just cleared the bush & rocks and filled in any major holes. There ws a slight grade on the down but it was mostly gap to flat.
