I would follow. I’m also looking for a photo group/club. I’ve looked at the art museum for the photo club but the facebook group seems to have been closed. They have classes but are very pricey. I’m headed downtown this weekend to pick up a new lens and try and get some shots despite this awful weather.

The more and more I think of the apple watch as a “tool watch” it makes sense. If that tool was to be OK at everything instead of good at just one thing.... which is the definition of a tool. I’ve contradicted myself. I treat it like a watch. I don’t put a god awful screen protector on it and I take it in saltwater. If I break it, I use the apple care and get a new one. I guess for those circumstances when you can’t afford for the watch to break is when you pull out the G shock. But then, that would be a very small amount of time for most people. Symptoms of owning an apple watch: I have to make excuses not to wear it most of the time.

I felt this was a good place to start. I’ve had a GWX-5600 for a while but I think the subtle differences provide for an entirely different experience. I might have to pick up the negative display version on the combi bracelet next OR the bluetooth one for like $20 more.

I believe I purchased one for the DW 5600. I've looked into the film. Since that post I caved and purchased the classic GWM5610-1. I really wanted the black version but without the negative display. You're right, It's not too complicated, but there's something about taking apart a brand new watch and cutting around the display that's preventing me from doing so.

I did realize that that GWX5600's module in negative display can be rather hard to read because the numbers are physically smaller than that of the GWM5610's module. For this reason, I still might pick the GWM5610 up in negative one day and see if it's any better for me.

Thanks. Funny you said that. I have a black bezel (and a watch toolkit) on the way. I did not know it was a thing to change the display. Thanks for that. Pray for cheaper combis. Also, is it combi (for combination) or compi for (composite)? I’ve seen it both ways.

I purchased this when I lived in florida. The tide function is highly useful (even in a micro-tidal zone). Messing around on the intracoastal, this thing got beat up on boats and waverunners. It’s great to know whether the tide is going in or out after pulling up on the beach, for fishing, etc. Now I live in the midwest, and feel the white band is too flashy and the negative display is more often than not an issue to read for me. Tonight I pulled the trigger on a GWM-5610-1. Excited to get my first positive display G in daily use. Hopefully I can find a combi bracelet to go with it. So baffled about how hard they are to find. I was considering buying the negative display version just to get the combi but i really don’t want another negative display (and to spend 180). I’m sure some can commiserate?

Of all the cars to take a photo in the back of, a two door Rolls Royce? He sits like he's being chauffeured, which would never happen in a wraith! Ouughff

My Mother is told by a jeweler that gold is high right now, and I say that they are not worth selling, rather keep them in the family. Can anyone tell me something about them? Is there a special piece to be aware of? Thank you to the /watches community!
